The start of navigating as much of the river wye as possible saw Birmingham Canoe Club, launching at hay on wye down to the boat inn. This journey passed the historical whitney toll bridge which is the oldest toll bridge in the UK being constructed around 1780. It is the only stone and wood constructed bridge on the river wye. The trip also brought us close to nature with many birds and also 2 otters being seen along the route.
